Northwest Nazarene University (NNU), a comprehensive Christian university, offers over 60 areas of study, 19 master’s degrees in seven different disciplines and one doctoral degree. Life in Nampa, ID

Nampa is a fast-growing community situated just 18 miles from Boise, Idaho’s state capital, in the southwestern part of the state (also known locally as The Treasure Valley). In 2006, Money magazine recognized the Treasure Valley as number eight of the top 100 Best Places to Live. In 2005, Forbes named the Boise Metro area the #1 Best Place to Live in the U.S.

Nampa’s location allows easy access to ski resorts, mountain hiking, camping, boating, and river rafting. Surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges, we experience the diversity of the four seasons. An additional interchange, completed in 2006, has transformed the face of Nampa by bringing in many new businesses while maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere. In 2006, Farmer’s Insurance named Boise and Nampa as one of the safest places to live and the City of Nampa received the 2006 America’s Promise 100 Best Cities for Youth.

Boise offers many cultural amenities such as the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra, Boise Master Chorale, Opera Idaho, Ballet Idaho, Riverside Jazz Orchestra, and the Boise Art Museum.
