Milwaukee’s poverty and homelessness issues are vast and complex, but they are not insurmountable.  Since 1893, the Milwaukee Rescue Mission has tackled these issues head-on, serving the community with compassion, care, excellence and expertise, all in Christ’s name. We meet our hurting neighbors where they are, by offering practical assistance, like food, clothing, shelter and transformative programs, as well as long term assistance, education, help in overcoming substance abuse, job training and much more.  We are driven by the good news of the Gospel, which we believe, is the key to lasting change.
